On Feb. 2, 2023, I used my QHY 16200 Camera to capture about 3 hours of data on this. Even though this camera has a large chip, I only could capture the middle part of the Rosette as it is a very large area of nebulosity.


One of the very noticeable things is the whole area in front is illuminated by a open cluster of hot blue stars. That causes the gas in between us and the nebulosity to glow blue.


It is said that the Nebula spans over about 100 light years.
