Hi Jeff. This is a color camera with no filters. So it is RGB and the sensor for blue is very sensitive on this chip.

Subs are five minutes each. It was pretty clear on the 16th. I stacked 15.

Aubrey,
That is an amazing picture. I’d like to know whether it is narrowband or RGB and how long your subs were.

Here is an interesting full view of the M42, M43 and NGC1977 (Running Man nebula) complex inside the Orion Constellation. I shot this from Brickhouse Observatory on the Meyer Field (TRS) on December 16, 2023.

This is 15 subs of 5 minutes on the QHY 168 C camera on the Astro Tech 102mm refractor. I used SharpCap 4+ to capture and calibrate the data and Maxim DL 4+ to stack and the CCD Stack 2+ to adjust the color. Final finishing of the image was with Photoshop.
