Well done!

Willie

These are really great images. Thanks for sharing. Now if we get some clear skies on April 8th you can have a set of great images.

Very good shooting, Thomas.

Thanks for sharing, Johnny

Great shots!  Good work. Now I need to get around to processing the ones I got at the Eldorado Star Party.

This past October 13, 4 of us staged overnight in Sonora Texas to be near the centerline of the annular solar eclipse the next day, Oct 14. But then about 8am a cloud bank rolled in and threatened to ruin any viewing. Without much hesitation, we quickly relocated 50 miles west and then north to some oil field road and clear skies just outside Barnhart Texas. The view was spectacular. So I shot a few pictures (300) with my Sony a7rIII, 600 mm lens doubled to 1200mm and 100mm solar filter, on a iOptron SkyGuider pro camera mount and a tripod.

Photographically, this annular eclipse was a good warmup test of what equipment and techniques work that will safely generate good photo results for the total solar eclipse coming up in a little over 4 months on April 8. Can't wait.
