Hello all,
Our schedule starts tonight on XCOV30 and runs through the night of 11-10 local. I am out of town today and will not be able to start the run, but could take over later in the evening, perhaps 11pm. Who would be able to get us started?
Our primary target, NGC1501, does not reach 30 degrees of altitude until about 9pm, but if conditions are good, it can be observed by the time it reaches about 25 degrees of altitude. I suggest starting about 7pm and taking the following calibration files as soon as the camera has stabilized at -35 degs C.
31 x bias
31 x dark10
31 x dark30
31 x flat with BG40 filter
n1501 for the name of science files
We need longer names when we submit the data, but I will rename the files before uploading.
The forecast for tonight is not very good.
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.
South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
The NWS hourly forecast indicates 40-85% cloud cover for tonight.
