Comet 2020 F3 Neowise
Willie
Tonight I was able to view comet Neowise from the roadside park near Meridian, TX. I arrived at about 900 pm but it was about 930 pm before I could even see any stars in the NW. I finally was able to get the comet in my 15x70 mm binoculars. By 10pm the sky was dark and the view was magnificent. I was able to see the comet with the unaided eye, after I knew where to look. With the binoculars I was able to see the tail to about 3/4 of the FOV. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Attached is a screenshot of the location at 10pm tonight. It is moving up in the sky each night and tomorrow night will create a nice triangle with the pair of stars up and to the left slightly.

Great report Willie.
I saw the comet Tuesday night from Belton Dam but the lights in the area made it really difficult.

Fantastic. Once I walked away from my laptop I could visually see it as well. What a sight.

Thanks Willie for your visual report and the chart.
